Basic Language Arts 2 (7th & 8th Grade)

Basic Language Arts 2 is an intervention-focused and small group instruction Language Arts class for 7th & 8th grade students. This format allows for more individualized instruction and support for students at their skill level. The Language! reading and grammar program and Lexia an online reading program, will be used on a regular basis in the classroom. Writing will occur on a daily basis, and will include instruction from the Step Up To Writing and 6 Traits Writing program. Regular spelling tests will be taken from a researched-based spelling program from Language! and content-area high frequency words. Small group instruction will occur on a daily basis.
