Welcome to Second Grade!!! I am very excited about starting another year in 2nd grade! Together we are going to learn so much and are going to be ready for third grade by the end of the year. I have been at Highland Elementary for the last eight years. I am really excited about our new math curriculum, Bridges. We will be exploring this curriculum together, learning the ins and outs of math. We will start the year with our number corner, then move into the rest of the lessons. Parents, please be patient as we get to know this new curriculum. We will continue using our reading curriculum, Open Court. In this curriculum, science and social studies are integrated into the reading that we do each week. So I plan on spending more time on our inquiry piece. This means we will delve deeper into the topics we are covering in our reading each week. 

We are going to have an amazing year!
