Ms. Barbara Culley

Welcome to 4th grade!   I'm beginning my ninth year at Highland, and my fifth year teaching 4th grade math.   Math is my favorite thing to teach, and I absolutely love that I get to teach it all day!  My hope is to share my love for math with my students, and watch as they learn to love it, too!  Life is full of opportunities to use what we learn every day.  

My dog, Bailey, and I are roommates and best friends.  We go for walks and watch Rockies games together, until the season ends.  Then we start counting days until spring training begins again because baseball is THE BEST!  We kind of like to sit on our front porch together and watch sunsets, too.  I love to travel whenever I can, especially to the east coast where I'm from. The beaches on the Outer Banks of North Carolina are my favorite destination!

My own children are grown-ups now, and I am so proud of each of them.  They are my greatest accomplishments.  My oldest, Erin, is a nurse.  She is married to Matthew and they have 3 beautiful daughters - a 5th grader, a 2nd grader, and a kindergartner.  My son, Ryan, is the next oldest, and he is a pilot!  Yay for "mom's flight benefits"!  He is married to Nicole and they have a very busy 2-year-old son!  My youngest, Jaime, and her husband, John, have a precious 18-month-old daughter and a brand new son!   Wow - my family is growing!!   We do lots of fun things together: trips to the beach, family game nights, french toast breakfasts (my mom's famous recipe), Rockies games, and all kinds of 5ks (walking for me, please).
