    Food Service Substitute Workers

    The Food Service Department, with locations in both Ault and Pierce, CO are looking for food service worker substitutes. 

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Fill in for food service workers at meal times to include prep, serving, and cleanup of meals

    Requirements:

    Food service substitutes are required to be fingerprinted for a background check.

    Salary and Benefits:

    Classified Substitute pay is $14.00 per hour. Substitutes are enrolled in a PERA retirement plan, earn 1 hour of paid leave accrual for every 30 hours worked, and receive free cafeteria meals.

    Weld RE-9 School District

    Ault, Colorado

    High School Science Teacher

    Highland High School, located in Ault, Colorado has an open position for a high school Science Teacher.  

    Position Summary:  

    This person is responsible for teaching Science courses to students in 9-12th grade.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Planning the curriculum and instruction of science classes

    Monitor and evaluate student progress

    Prepare educational records and reports

    Sponsor student related groups and activities as assigned

    Extra-duty activities as assigned

    Requirements:

    Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a teaching certification is preferred.  Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Colorado Teaching License. The Weld Re-9 School District is willing to work with candidates to provide alternative pathways to the classroom including alternative teacher licensure programs (bachelors degree in any field required), adjunct authorizations (5+ years of work experience in the field the candidate will teach), and emergency or teacher of record authorizations (for individuals currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program).     Salary and Benefits:

    Salary range is $15.00-16.50 per hour depending on years of experience. See the Classified Salary Schedule under the Employment Opportunities tab.  The district provides health insurance benefits including dental and vision, PERA retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability, an optional supplemental 401(k) plan, an employee assistance plan, and the ability to enroll in supplemental insurances and savings accounts through a third-party vendor.  Weld RE-9 offers sick leave and personal leave as well as other benefits specific to our school district. Finally, the Weld Re-9 school district offers a tuition reimbursement program as well as pathways to teacher licensure for interested staff.
