Mrs. Angela Grider

Hello! 

My name is Angela Grider and this will be my 2nd year as a Highland Husky. As you walk into my classroom you will quickly notice that I am a Harry Potter fan. I've always loved reading and the Harry Potter series was one of my favorites as a child and as an adult.

I am from Fairbanks Alaska and I moved to Colorado 3 years ago with my husband Michael. I lived in Alaska for 10 years total. I graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. For my first year, I worked as a substitute teacher to get a feel of the various grade levels and get inspiration from other teachers and schools. I was hired on at North Pole Elementary School in 5th grade for my first official year teaching and I haven't looked back. 5th grade is by far my favorite grade level to teach and I am excited to have become a member of the 5th grade team here at Highland Elementary.
