Ms. Laci Pennington

Welcome to our first grade classroom! I am Ms. Pennington, and this is my sixth year at Highland Elementary. I graduated from UNC after studying early childhood education, and am originally from Southeastern Colorado. When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my pets. We don't have mountains in Southeast Colorado, so being closer to them has been one of the best things about living here! 

Our classroom will be focused on reading, writing, math and a positive environment. I strive to make my classroom a safe and welcoming place, so each student has the best opportunity to succeed! I believe building relationships with students and their families is a critical part of student success in school. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns you have.
