Mrs. Brenda Austin

I am excited about starting my fifth year teaching here at Highland Elementary, but I am especially excited about being the new Math Intervention teacher! I have worked in elementary education since 2006. I have worked as a paraprofessional, a substitute teacher, as well as a 5th grade teacher. My favorite part of my job is watching the students build on their skills each year and accomplish goals they never thought they could.

I earned my AA from Front Range Community College, my BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University (GO Rams) and my Masters from Regis University. I am married and have 3 grown kids; a daughter and 2 sons as well as 4 grandkids. I enjoy walking in 5k run/walks, painting with acrylic paint, and sitting by the fire pit.
