About Teacher

Hello! I'm Michael Pons and this is my first year at Highland and my third year as a teacher. I'm from Highlands Ranch, CO and moved up here to attend Colorado State University to get my degree in counseling as well as attend their athletic program. I was on their track team and their Men's club volleyball team. Besides being a social studies teacher, I get to be the head 8th grade girls volleyball and basketball coach. It's great to connect with students outside the classroom and to build our volleyball and basketball program! I live in Loveland with my wife and our two dogs. Outside of work, I coach school and club volleyball, travel, and spend time with close friends and family.
