Mrs. Lacy Gangestad

Lacy is a third generation artist, having a grandfather who was a farmer and also an art scholar.  Although she loves using all mediums, Lacy developed a passion for chalk art during her middle school days when she and her family entered a July 4th chalk contest in her hometown of Gillette, Wyoming.  In college, Lacy dabbled in water color, acrylics, and pencil, but continued to go back to her roots in pastels.  After college, she moved to Colorado where she has lived for the past ten years with her husband and son.  Wood burning, also known as pyrography, is another creative outlet in which she burns realistic images into wood, usually of family pets!  When she is not in her studio, Lacy enjoys quiet time up in the mountains while hiking, camping, or paddle boarding with her family.
