At Highland Elementary we use the literacy curriculum Open Court. The primary focus of Open Court is having students become confident readers. We will focus on print awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, inquiry, and language arts. We will cover themes like Be My Friend and Animals From Head to Toe. Open Court offers multiple ways for teachers to meet students needs.

The Board is committed to providing a safe learning and work environment where all members of the school community are treated with dignity and respect.
