Hello Huskies!

This year our core curriculum continues to be the Open Court program. Students will learn a vast number of reading skills and be put through a lot of rigor and are expected to try their best to succeed. It is important that they are present at school every day to participate in each of our lessons. My goal is to push every student to be the successful reader I know they can be. I hope to challenge students to read outside their comfort zones and experience the vast number of genres that exist. I will also be coaching this year's Battle of the Books team for 5th grade. I hope to see a lot of eager students ready and willing to participate.
