Chemistry is a college preparatory science course.  Curriculum is based on the Colorado Model Content Standards for education and focuses on the study and analysis of atomic and molecular structure or properties, periodic properties, Chemical forumlas, reactions, nuclear chemistry and organic chemistry.  The course structure includes lectures and laboratory activities with an emphasis on application and extension of learned concepts and their relationship to human activity.  This course is recommended and encouraged for college-bound students, or those interested in adding diversity to their science education.
