Mrs. Kelsey Bailey, Principal

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and moved to the United States when I was 17 to attend Auburn University on an athletic scholarship as a springboard and platform diver. I transferred to the University of Utah and earned a BS Degree in Exercise and Sport Science and a BS in Physical Education Teacher Education. I earned my M.Ed. from Colorado State University in Education and Human Resources Studies in 2015. 

My career in education began in Prescott Valley, AZ, moved to Granbury, TX and then to Fort Collins, CO where I landed at Poudre High School from 2011-2019. I've been a H.S. Physical Education, Health and Science teacher, and have coached a variety of sports including Track & Field, Volleyball and Swimming & Diving. 

This is my fourth year at Highland High School and I am looking forward to continued work with our students, families and community. 

I have been married for 13 years and am blessed with three amazing children. I'm an avid college sports fan, especially football and basketball, but watch and support them all.

Mr. Riley Couch, Assistant Principal

I was born in Casper, WY and raised most of my early years in Rawlins, WY. I moved to Fort Collins and graduated from Rocky Mountain High School. After High School, I attended Black Hills State and competed in Football, prior to transferring to the University of Nebraska at Kearney and graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology Education. Additionally, I completed my Masters Degree in School Leadership through Concordia University Chicago. I started my career in Oregon serving as a Football Coach, Science Teacher, Dean of Students, and Athletic Director. 

I have been married for 3 years, and my wife and I enjoy the outdoors. I am an avid Nebraska Huskers and Texas A&M Aggies fan, and enjoy all college athletics. 

This will be my second year at Highland High School, and I look forward to working with students, families and the community. Go Huskies!
